Andre 3000 was riding high on a rap career that could arguably be considered one of the greatest of all time when Outkast called it quits in 2006.Since then, while Big Boi and Three Stacks have been keeping pace with one another in guest verses, the man known as Daddy Fat Sax has released two solid solo albums to Andre's zero.

So, what gives? Why hasn't Three Thou been able to muster up a solo album?

According to fellow Dungeon Family member Cee-Lo Green, the reason is us. Fan expectations have given Mr. Benjamin a heavy case of the jitters.

Via an interview with RapFix:

"He just said he had a severe case of stage fright and he's just kind of been away from the game and didn't know if he could truly live up (to his reputation). He just said he was bothered by this bar that had been set and maybe he wants to do something different, and he'll always be his worst competition, his worst critic and maybe he don't want to live up to what people think he should do."

With this news coming from Andre's close friend and Benjamin's rep telling people not to get their hopes up, we may see any solo work from Mr. Benjamin (besides his dead ringer Jimi Hendrix performance, that is).

What do you think of the news that Benjamin isn't releasing solo work due to stage fright?
