Jennifer Hudson 'Winnie Mandela' Movie Trailer: Academy Award Winner Plays Nelson Mandela's Wife In Biopic

Academy award winner Jennifer Hudson stars in the dramatic film based about Nelson Mandela's wife, "Winnie Mandela."

Hudson co-stars alongside, Terence Howard in the bio-pic about the most unforgettable struggle Winnie has endured after her husband was sentenced to life in prison for promoting political rallies in South Africa, and picking up the protest where he left off after he spent 25-years in prison before finally being released.

Hudson told USA Today that she was never familiar with Winnie and the major role she played in South African history.

 "I was an African-American girl, and I didn't know about this person who had a huge impact on the world. It's the hardest thing I've ever done," she said.
