Lady Gaga is not happy with hackers that leaked her "Applause" single and she let it be known on her Twitter account. "Mother Monster" slammed hackers who let the leak go online of her new 2013 single in a series of tweets on Saturday and Sunday. Gaga also showed support for fellow singer Katy Perry, whose new song "Roar" was also leaked online this past weekend. A short clip of "Applause" appeared online over a week before its August 19 release date and now the "Born This Way" singer is going after the hackers who released the audio.
On Saturday, August 10 Gaga sent out a series of tweets. First Gaga said, "Lord, in HEAVEN WHY," followed by, "YOU JUST COULDNT WAIT THIS IS TOO MUCH FOR ONE SATURDAY."
Gaga then said, "Don't worry. THE HAUS BUREAU is on the case. -TechHaus." Gaga even tweeted at fellow pop superstar Katy Perry. "Wanna grab some shovels and f--k up some hackers? @katyperry excited to hear your ROAR, sorry to hear about your truck!" Gaga tweeted.
Gaga then apparently addressed some drama going on involving music bloggers and critics. The "Born This Way" singer tweeted, "Dont focus on ANY blogger criticism. I have been a producer/songwriter/musician for over 10 years. Trust the artist bloggers are not critics." Gaga also tweeted, "The fans + music scholars are the best critics because they know the artist intimately. #STOPHarassingTheArtist we are here to entertain you."
It looks like Gaga is on the lookout for anyone who leaks her new music. For those of you willing to wait, Gaga's new album ARTPOP comes out November 11 and her new single "Applause" will be released August 19.
