Kourtney Kardashian is facing a paternity lawsuit over her three-year-old son Mason. The alleged father of Kourtney's first born, Michael Girgenti claims that he had unprotected sex with the "Keeping up with the Kardashian" reality star and believes that Mason is his child.
According to RadarOnline.com who obtained the letter dated April 23, Girgenti wrote a letter to Kourtney to take a DNA test for Mason to either confirm or deny his relations to the three-year-old before he gets the courts involved, "I assure you I don't take being a father lightly," he wrote, "I will be a great father to Mason."
"Please take this final request for a DNA test seriously," he concluded, adding: "Because if you don't, I will be forced to take legal action and sue."
Last week, Girgenti filed paperwork in Los Angeles for joint custody of Mason.
The Letter read: "My attentions [sic] are not to hurt the family you've created with Scott [Disick]," Girgenti added, "But at the same time, Mason deserves to know the truth."
Early this year, Girgenti told Star magazine, "This is Kourtney's last chance," he said. "My next step will be to take her to court and sue her for a paternity test. I'm tired of not knowing if Mason is my child and I want the constant wondering to end."
A hearing for the paternity suit is set for late August.
