Milwaukee Brewers slugger Ryan Braun will reportedly come clean about his performance enhancing drug (PED) use, according to USA Today. Bob Nightengale is reporting that Braun will apologize publicly for using steroids at some point in the near future. Braun was recently suspended 65 games for the rest of the 2013 season without pay. However, it was in 2011 he tested positive for steroids, but because of a tester error had his suspension overturned. The Yankees' Alex Rodriguez also made news recently after a 60 Minutes report alleged that A-Rod's "inner circle" leaked documents revealing Braun's name.

The 60 Minutes report was denied by A-Rod's lawyer David Cornwell. "The allegations are untrue and are another attempt to harm Alex - this time by driving a wedge between Alex and other players in the game," Cornwell said in a statement.

According to the 60 Minutes report, members of A-Rod's "inner circle" leaked documents from the Biogenesis scandal implicating Braun and A-Rod's own teammate Francisco Cervelli. It would seem that Braun wants to stay as far away from A-Rod's scandal as possible. While A-Rod has chosen to deny and fight allegations of PED use and lying, Braun seems to be owning up to his mistakes and is going to apologize. It will be interesting to see which slugger gets the more beneficial outcome.

USA Today also reports that Braun has already been sending letters of apology to MLB officials after lying about his PED use.

So whose strategy do you think will work out better in the long term?
