If you need a bit of affirmation to push you through your Monday, look no further than Superchunk's I Hate Music. The latest from the power-pop pioneers proves (much like Soundgarden's King Animal) that no one out there can do what they do, the way that they do it. The lead single off I Hate Music (if you don't count Soundcloud preview "FOH"), the driving "Me & You & Jackie Mitoo," has a music video and it's awesome.

The track starts with the lines that give the album its name: "I hate music/ what is it worth?" In a seeming answer to this rhetorical question, the video is composed of people clutching their favorite albums to their chest, popping in an out of the video in time with the music. Check it out and see if you spot any faves:

And I wasn't kidding about listening to I Hate Music, it's streaming at NPR right now. DO EET.

I Hate Music drops tomorrow (August 20) via MERGE.
