Comic book writer Mark Millar, who has worked on Kick-Ass, Hit-Girl, Ultimate Fantastic Four and more, may have confirmed that an X-Men/Fantastic Four crossover movie could be in the works.
In an interview with SFX, Millar answered the following question from a reader:
"Will the upcoming reboot of the Fantastic Four share a universe with the future X-Men films? Joe Steiner
Without question I think you have to see some of these guys showing up in each other's movies. I think the most exciting thing in superhero movies, until The Avengers came along, was when Nick Fury showed up in Iron Man. Even though it was a guy with an eye patch it was really cool - and I expect we will see more of that."
Ordinarily this would just be a comic book writer hoping for an eventual superhero team-up movie. But Millar also revealed the following nugget to Collider recently:
"I can't really talk too much about exactly what (Fox has) asked me to do because it ties in with a plan that's probably not going to be announced for about two years or something.
Could that plan be an X-Men/Fantastic Four team-up? The success of The Avengers and the announcement of a 2015 Superman/Batman movie leave all possibilities on the table.
