Canadian actor Shaun Sipos, known for his roles on "Melrose Place" and "Life Unexpected," has landed a recurring role in the fifth season of the CW's hit show "The Vampire Diaries." Sipos will play Aaron, a college student who bonds with Elena (Nina Dobrev) over their respectively tragic family histories. Aaron is said to be Elena's "new best friend," who could easily turn into a main character on the show. What does this mean for Elena's relationship with current boyfriend Damon (Ian Somerhalder)?
