Thanks to a humorous story told on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," Liam Hemsworth was awarded $20,000 from White Castle Hamburgers to use for the charity of his choice. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire star told Kimmel a funny anecdote about how he and his co-star Josh Hutcherson first bonded over eating about 90 White Castle burgers together during Liam's first time in the U.S.A.
When Kimmel asked Hemsworth what films he admired and looked up to before becoming an actor, the 23-year-old fiancé of Miley Cyrus (though that's up for debate) caught the late night talk show host a bit of guard with his answer.
Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle apparently had a "deep impact" on Hemsworth's life during his teenage years. He also mentioned that his friends considered it to be holy in some ways. The best thing is that Liam figured that White Castle was actually just a made up place for the film, so when he came to America he was pleasantly surprised.
He told Kimmel that, while visiting Josh Hutcherson's home during The Hunger Games filming, he went to White Castle and split 90 hamburgers with his co-star. The two then proceeded to throw up all that they ate in a sort of bonding experience.
White Castle Hamburgers liked this story so much that they decided to give Liam $20,000 for a charity of his choice! The organization even offered to induct Liam into the White Castle Hall of Fame for his story.

This interview took place earlier this month, so there is no mention of Liam's fiancé's twerking controversy at the MTV VMAs. Though Kimmel probably wouldn't have brought that up considering he's friends with Cyrus.
