During the 2013 MTV VMAs, Miley Cyrus performed a rather controversial "twerk" rendition of Robin Thicke's hit song "Blurred Lines." For those fans who (surprisingly) have yet to see the viral clip, check it out:
Several people found the performance repulsive (including Thicke's own mother, Gloria Loring). But now Cyrus' country music crooning father Billy Ray Cyrus has finally broken his silence - and he still fully supports his wild-and-crazy daughter.
"Of course I'll always be here for Miley. Can't wait see her when she gets home," Cyrus told ET's Nancy O'Dell. "She's still my little girl and I'm still her Dad regardless how this circus we call show business plays out. I love her unconditionally and that will never change."
How cool of the "Achy Breaky Heart" singer to stand by his daughter's side! But the Parents Television Council... not so much:
"MTV continues to sexually exploit young women by promoting acts that incorporate 'twerking' in a nude-colored bikini. How is this image of former child star Miley Cyrus appropriate for 14-year-olds?"
