David Morrissey (A.K.A. the Governor on "The Walking Dead") has impressed AMC a lot it seems. The British actor is now slated to star in a new pilot for the network entitled "Line of Slight." But what does this mean for his character on "The Walking Dead"? Are we going to see the Governor's death in season 4 of the AMC hit?
"We are huge fans of David Morrissey and are glad he'll be doing double duty for AMC viewers through his work on The Walking Dead and our pilot for Line of Sight, both of which are produced in Atlanta," AMC said in a statement.
In the Robert Kirkman comics that the series is based on, the Governor eventually dies, so it would not be unexpected to see this happen in season 4. But the show has taken some liberties in terms of story lines and plot developments, so we might who knows when or if he will die.
This would not be the first time that casting of a "Walking Dead" star in another show lead to that character being killed off in the zombie drama. Shane was killed off in season two after the actor that plays him, Jon Bernthal, was cast in the show "Mob City." Could the same happen to David Morrissey?
Let us know what you think about the future of the Governor on "The Walking Dead" in the comments section. Do you think he'll die in season 4 or will Rick and the rest of his group be tormented by him for longer than expected?
"The Walking Dead" returns for its fourth season on October 13 on AMC.
