The Beatles are going to be releasing new, old music this fall, according to Beatles fan-site WogBlog. The site appears to have uncovered the release plans for a second "Live at the BBC" Beatles album, featuring music not heard since it first aired back in the 1960's. If this report turns out to be true, Beatles fans will get to listen to the Fab Four's music as if it were new (assuming they never heard it live back in the 60's). If WogBlog's information proves to be correct "Live at the BBC Vol. 2's" release date will be this November.
According to WogBlog's report, the album will be titled "On Air - Live at the BBC Volume 2." The Beatles fan site also has what they believe to be the album's cover photo. You can check out the picture over at their website here. The photo is from Dezo Hoffman, and is an old black-and-white photo that has been made into color.
So how did WogBlog figure out this information that, according to The Guardian, neither Universal Music nor the Beatles' official website has yet to confirm? Well Roger Stormo of WogBlog says that MCA Music, which is a Philippines based Universal Music company, posted the release plan information on their Facebook page.
Interestingly, the music that will be featured on the Beatles new album was thought to have been erased. When the Beatles' music was first played on BBC radio back in the 60's, it's said that the BBC erased their tapes. However, the BBC apparently enlisted the help of fans who taped the original airing of the Beatles music at home and asked them to send in their home recordings. Thanks to those fans, it seems that all Beatles fans will get to enjoy new, old music from the Fab Four this November.
