Katie Couric, John Molner Engaged: Katie Remarries After 15-Years After First Husband, Jay Monahan Died From Cancer

Former Today show host, Katie Couric is engaged! The TV host said "yes" to her boyfriend, John Molner after he popped the question to her over the weekend.

According to PEOPLE, the Katie host has been dating the banker for nearly two years before receiving the flashy diamond ring during Molner's romantic beach proposal in East Hampton, N.Y. 

This will be Couric's second marriage after her first husband, Jay Monahan died in 1998 first from colon cancer. In February Couric told More magazine, "It's actually surprising to me that it has been almost 15 years and I haven't remarried. I think life is more fun when you have someone in your life."

According to PEOPLE, Couric use to worry about finding someone after her husband died, "I used to worry a lot about the future. [But] who knows what it will bring?" she said. "Hopefully it will bring good things." 

Katie told USA, May that she was happy with her new man, who happens to be six years younger than her, "having a great time. He's really funny and very successful in his own right. In a different line of work. A little more age appropriate."
