Hugh Jackman has portrayed Wolverine in multiple X-Men films, but the actor believes that next year's X-Men: Days of Future Past could be the biggest one yet.

The actor sat down with Access Hollywood and talked about the size of the movie, particularly in reference to the San Diego Comic-Con 2013 panel in July, which featured himself, Patrick Stewart, Sir Ian McKellan, Jennifer Lawrence, Halle Berry, Ellen Page and Michael Fassbender:

"I know, having sat at Comic-Con on that panel with that extraordinary cast, I keep saying it's like two movies in one, but with the size of it, it's really three in one."

Jackman's quote makes sense, as Days of Future Past serves as both X-Men 4 and X-Men: First Class 2. The film features actors and characters from the principal X-Men movie franchise and X-Men: First Class (2011).

Jackman also talked about director Bryan Singer, who helmed X-Men and X2: X-Men United. The actor expressed his faith in the director and believes that he can handle the monumental task and expectations associated with Days of Future Past:

"It really is going to blow people away because of the story. Bryan Singer, I think, is going to become the first director to make increasingly better movies in a franchise. I'm not sure if there's anyone else that's done it."

X-Men: Days of Future Past also stars "Game of Thrones" actor Peter Dinklage as Bolivar Trask, the industry titan who creates the robotic Sentinels to hunt down and destroy the mutants.
