The Avengers 2 2015: Gwyneth Paltrow Not Returning As Pepper Potts in 'Age of Ultron'? Actress Did Not Know Movie's Title [VIDEO]

Gwyneth Paltrow portrayed Pepper Potts in three Iron Man movies and in The Avengers, though her role in the latter film was significantly diminished thanks to the ensemble of superheroes assembled.

But now it seems as though the actress will not reprise her role when The Avengers: Age of Ultron comes out in Summer 2015. In fact, she did not even know the movie's name when asked about it by HitFix.

"What is it called?" she asked. "Age of Ultron. Okay, well, no, I don't think (I'll be in it). I haven't heard any...my phone has not rung for Avengers 2."

HitFix then asked if she would like to put on the "Rocket" armor, in reference to Pepper's suit, for a solo movie, but this time the actress was ready.

"That would be fun. (But) I thought Rescue was her name," Paltrow said.

In other Age of Ultron news, MStars previously reported that Marvel Studios co-president Louis D'Esposito talked to IGN and revealed the status of Robert Downey Jr.'s character, Tony Stark, for The Avengers sequel:

"He's leading the team with Captain America. I don't know where he's at 100 percent. We're still developing the screenplay and Joss Whedon is writing furiously to get that finished. But obviously I've seen a couple of drafts [so] it's hard for me to say at this point what [Tony] is doing and what his emotional mindset is. You can see where it was where we left in Iron Man 3. He's in love with Pepper. He's made a grand gesture to blow up the suits at that point. But at the end, he couldn't help himself and I think he will go back to tinkering. That's what he does."
