Oh, let the Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert drama continue! Apparenty, the "Over You" songstress wants her country beau to "stay away" from "cougar" Cher... or else. Wait, what!?
So, Cher was recently named a "mentor" on the upcoming season of "The Voice." Of course, Shelton's a longtime judge on the show... so is Lambert jealous?
According to the National Enquirer, Lambert warned Shelton - "Stay away from Cher! That woman's a cougar!"
FYI - this is the same gossip tabloid that said Lambert was in a "jealous rage" when Shakira joined the cast last season. Yeah, right.
The Enquirer now reports that the stunning country crooner's "worried that the 67-year-old Grammy winner will try to live the lyrics to one of her hit songs and 'turn back time.'" And Lambert's main concern? "[Cher] has a history of bedding hot entertainers many years her junior." Basically, Lambert believes Cher's a dangerous cougar who's now after her own man.
As one alleged insider explains, "Miranda knows Cher's a man-eater who likes strapping men in their thirties... She told Blake not to get too close to Cher because of her reputation as a femme fatale."
Apparently Lambert "laid down the law" earlier this month... now let's just see if that "threat" works.
The entire report sounds a bit shady... and according to Gossip Cop, there's no truth to such claims. Lambert is not jealous or nervous over Cher joining "The Voice" cast. Another source close to the situation claims such rumors are a "total joke."
Shelton's marriage with Lambert is doing just fine. "The Voice" season 5 premieres Sept. 23.
