New reports are claiming that pop sensation Taylor Swift is currently being eyed for roles in a number of Hollywood remakes. Is it possible that the 23-year-old singer could star in new versions of A Star is Born, Pretty Woman, and/or Gone with the Wind?
A story coming from The National Inquirer stated that Swift is "getting ready to sink her teeth into beefier starring roles in movies." Taylor had some small acting parts in the film Valentine's Day, the FOX sitcom "New Girl" and a hosting gig on "Saturday Night Live." Do you think Taylor is trying to make her acting career more serious?
This report claims that Swift's team has been "fielding offers, including remakes of such classics as Gone With the Wind, Pretty Woman and yet another redo of A Star is Born."
Swift was recently interviewed about her possibly getting back into acting. When asked if she'd be interested in returning to the acting world, Swift responded, "That's always something that's in the back of my mind, if the right thing came along."
She added: "It would have to be something so amazing that it would take me away from writing songs and touring, which would have to be an incredible script."
Do you think this report about Taylor being eyed for these remakes is true? The information comes from a tabloid, so definitely don't get your hopes up (or down) about this.
UPDATE: As we all suspected, the rumors surrounding these movie projects have been proven false!
Taylor was also reportedly offered a role in the upcoming film, The Secret Service.
A production insider recently revealed some information regarding Taylor's casting. The source said: "Filming commences in October and will shoot mainly in London and south of France. Matthew looked at a number of actresses to play the part before settling on Taylor - apparently she was a natural on the big screen."
