It probably comes as no surprise to anyone, but Oasis lead singer Liam Gallagher has recently made some negative comments about Daft Punk's hit single "Get Lucky." As you probably have already guessed, the "Wonderwall" singer doesn't like the song.
"I'd write that in a f***ing hour," Gallagher said of the Daft Punk summer hit. "I don't know what the fuss is about, you know what I mean? It's like f**k off, give me a f**king break."
Clearly not satisfied with just attacking the French duo's single, Liam went after their appearance:
"I am not going to have people wear disguises. Take your f***ing helmet off. Let's see what you look like sans helmet, whatever you're called."
Unfortunately for Gallagher (but most likely a different story for the rest of us) Daft Punk is releasing remixes of "Random Access Memory" songs.
Thomas Bangalter from the group told Radio 1: "We're working on some mixes ourselves. So, yes, there will probably be Daft Punk mixes of Daft Punk. Usually, we never mix ourseleves, that's something we feel we're interested in doing this time."
As far as the whole helmet situation goes, Bangalter said: "We don't talk about our private lives because they're private, plus the public image is more fun and entertaining anyway. Usually the 24-hour high-maintenance celebrity lifestyle can disconnect people from reality. And after a band has been making records for 20 years, they're not doing the most interesting shit because they fall into this bourgeois, successful, settled existence."
