Apparently, the two were spotted at the popular Hollywood night The Viper Room earlier this month, and they were very "touchy-feely." On September 7, 27-year-old Pattinson spent his evening at The Viper Room flirting with Penn. A fellow partier tells Life & Style, that R-Patz wasn't even watching rapper Mickey Avalon's performance from the venue's VIP Green Room - he only had eyes for Penn. "They were touchy-feely and very flirtatious. There was a level of comfort there," the source reveals. "You could tell they've hung out a few times."

Afterwards (at around 1 a.m.), the duo hopped in a waiting car and drove over to the Chateau Marmont, Pattinson's favorite place to late-night drinks and snacks. Following that, some friends headed back to R-Patz's gated-community home.

"They went into his kitchen, and he put his arms around her," another eyewitness explains. "Then he was kissing her neck and talking all lovey-dovey. It was clear they'd been out together before." When guests started leaving at around 5 a.m., Penn was still there. Apparently she spent the night.
