The British cult comedy The IT Crowd seemed to have ended with season 4 back in 2010. Luckily, the show's creator Graham Linehan confirmed reports of a last episode coming this year and the day has finally come as of tomorrow. On September 27, 2013, a one-off episode will serve as the last time we get to see this group of characters together and will be a 40-minute special send off. There will not be a season 5, but fans are just excited about getting to see Roy, Moss, and Jen together once again!

Back in 2012, Lineham tweeted about finishing the script for this special and waiting on the actors' schedules. Here is his tweet:
Those asking about the special--it's written, but we have to wait until Parky has her baby and I finish 'Count Arthur'.

Just this week, after several months of speculation and rumors, Lineham tweeted again to confirm the return of The IT Crowd:
To those asking, yes it's true. insidetv.ew.com/2013/05/07/the… #itcrowd — Graham Linehan (@Glinner) May 8, 2013
After the fourth season of The IT Crowd, actor Chris O'Dowd (Roy) gained a certain amount of fame through his appearances in the film Bridesmaids and the HBO series Girls. The other actors Richard Ayoade (Moss) and Katherine Parkinson (Jen) have also been working steadily on a variety of different projects. The main issue with this reunion has always been the schedules of the stars. They have all expressed interest in returning to the show, with O'Dowd saying that the characters needed "closure."
By the end of the fourth season, the popular show had high ratings and had even won several awards, including a BAFTA and several comedy prizes. There was even talk of an American adaptation starring Joel McHale (Community) as O'Dowd's character. It never got off the ground, but luckily we get to see a return of the original series!
For your viewing pleasure, here is (in my opinion) the funniest scene from The IT Crowd (and possibly television):
