Shayanna Jenkins Indicted: Aaron Hernandez's Fiancee Indicted on Perjury Charge, Murder Trial Update

Aaron Hernandez's fiancée Shayanna Jenkins has been indicted on perjury charges according to a report from ESPN and the Associated Press. Jenkins is being charged for perjury in connection with former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez's trial where he is being accused of killing a friend. Hernandez is accused of murdering semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd. Prosecutors said that two other people in addition to Jenkins have been indicted. According to a statement from the Bristol County District Attorney's office, 24-year-old Jenkins has been indicted on a single perjury count

Jenkins and Hernandez aren't the only ones in potential trouble for the murder of Lloyd. Reuters via NBC News, reports that Hernandez's friend Carlos Ortiz is being charged with an accessory to murder and Hernandez's cousin Tanya Singleton is being charged on conspiracy to commit accessory after the fact.

Lloyd had allegedly been dating the sister of Hernandez's fiancee. What exactly happened the night of the murder is unclear, and it seems like the stories keep changing. Reuters via NBC News is reporting that a Bristol County District Attorney's Office spokesman is now saying that Ortiz's story has changed. Previously Ortiz said Hernandez and another friend Ernest Wallace had gotten out of the vehicle with Lloyd on the night of the murder. Now, apparently Ortiz is saying that it was only Hernandez who got out of the vehicle.

There is sure to be alot more to this story revealed as the days and months go on. We may never find out exactly what happened that tragic night.
