Though they just released their comeback record “Save Rock and Roll” in April of this year, “Dance, Dance” band Fall Out Boy already have a new EP on the way. Yesterday (Sept. 29), FoB released a new music video for “Love, Sex, Death” from their upcoming album “Pax Am Days” on Rolling Stone.
The first sampling of “Pax Am Days” is a punchy, short punk number. “Love, Sex, Death” clocks in at a mere one-minute, 24-seconds. The melody is stripped away in return for pounding drums, speedy guitars and kicks of “Love! Sex! Death!” in lead singer Patrick Stump’s deep, tough vocals.
It feels markedly retro in terms of punk rock and shows Fall Out Boy venturing into new territory upon their return to music.
Meanwhile, the video itself uses quick cuts, intercutting live footage of Fall Out Boy with scenes of them in the Pax Am studio.

“Pax Am Days” was announced mysteriously earlier in September, according to Alternative Press. The record was recorded in two days with Ryan Adams in his Los Angeles studio, Pax Am. The record will be available online and on a limited-edition release of “Save Rock and Roll” on Oct. 15.
