In accordance with the release of their third studio album, Midnight Memories (out on November 25), the guys of One Direction have announced a special day dedicated to connecting with fans. November 23, 2013, is now officially "1D Day."

Here is how "1D Day" is described on the new website for the special day:
"1D Day is an exciting opportunity for everyone everywhere to take part in a unique global event, providing an exclusive insight into the lives of One Direction - and the people around them. 1D Day will consist of a seven-hour stream, filmed live from a television studio and comprising a whole host of special features, celebrity guests and content created by you."
And here is how you can get involved:
"Whoever you are, wherever you are - there will be something you can do to take part. Over the next seven weeks, we'll be presenting you with the opportunity to get involved in the day. From suggesting show ideas, to creating your own videos - you can be sure we'll give you plenty of opportunity to make your mark on 1D Day. 1D Day really is a day for everyone!"
