There have been plenty of rumors surrounding Britney Spears' highly anticipated 2013 Las Vegas residency. There has been a lot of speculation as to whether or not the "Work Bitch" singer will be lip-synching while performing at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. Spears' residency, called "Britney: Piece of Me" is scheduled to begin December 27. In a recent interview with a radio station, Spears addressed the rumors that she would be lip-synching while in Vegas and the diva denied them.
Spears told a Chicago radio station, "I'm definitely going be singing live. I always sing live. I'm always singing." However, Spears didn't exactly give herself a ringing endorsement saying, "it doesn't sound so great all the time, but I do my best." So Spears will be singing live, but it may not always sound great. Who else is excited for this Las Vegas residency!?
This brings up the debate as to whether fans would rather see a great show with some lip synching involved, or hear the singer sing live, even if it isn't the best? The truth is it's impossible to expect these singers to be their best singing when they are also asked to dance around for three hours. Personally, I feel if the person is a singer, make singing the number one priority. They have all those dancers for a reason. Let them dance! However, based on Spears' comments, it sounds like the diva is going to try and sing live and put on a full performance.
