Childish Gambino, aka Donald Glover, has announced a new album via his Tumblr and a mysterious promo video on YouTube. "Because the Internet" is due out sometime this winter, according to the rapper and actor.

On iamdonald.com today (Oct. 8), Gambino posted a simple message announcing the album's title and a rough due date. "'because the internet' available winter break," he wrote underneath a YouTube video with a musical snippet from the new album.

Titled "yaphet kotto," the clip shows Gambino stationary underwater, neither floating nor drowning as the camera slowly pulls away from his face and body.

The track, likely a snippet from a "Because the Internet" song, recalls production value from Kanye West's earliest days (think: "Through The Wire). Lyrically, Gambino finds himself once again in familiar territory, as he explores his own life and persona in his rhymes.

Gambino takes on his own rapping skills and his departure from the TV show "Community." "Headlines saying he leaving to be a rapper / With n*ggas saying it's dumb, he's eating of his acting / I mean, who the f*ck wants to be a rapper? / It's stupid," he raps midway through the snippet.

"Because the Internet" is due out some time this winter. It will be the fourth studio album from Childish Gambino, who previously released "Camp" in 2011. Gambino has also dropped a variety of mixtapes and EPs.
