This weekend, the Taylor Swift Education Center will open at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, Tennessee. The 23-year-old singer donated $4 million to the museum last year, allowing for an education center to be built with her name attached to it. Along with her education center opening, Swift will be awarded her record-breaking sixth "Songwriter/Artist of the Year" award from the Nashville Songwriters Association International.

"In school, I was taught a certain amount about music, a certain amount about theater, and that interest sparked something in me. It made me look elsewhere to learn much more about it," the "I Knew You Were Trouble" songstress exclaimed. "I think, for me, it's just going to be so interesting to see Nashville continue to be this hub for music, and this hub for music education. I love the fact that people are coming from all over the world to go to school for music (in Nashville), I love the fact that this is now a new opportunity for kids to be a part of programs that are going to help them know more about what we do here."

Swift also spoke about being honored by the Nashville Songwriters Associating for the sixth time, being the youngest inductee and blowing past five-time winners Vince Gill and Alan Jackson.

"Writing my own music is what makes up most of my identity, I think, as an artist and as a human being," she said. "I don't know what my life would look like if I didn't write songs...to have that part of my life be honored is so special, I can't even verbalize how special that is."

Swift added: "I've tried to tell my fans how much writing songs has helped me with my life, and has helped me process my emotions. It doesn't matter if that's something you want to pursue as a career. I think that trying to figure out a way to say what you need to say and articulate what it is you're feeling is a way to make your life easier."
