Here's the 15,000th piece of evidence that Breaking Bad showrunner Vince Gilligan really did know what the eff he was doing. While there were many theories surrounding the series' finale's episode title "Felina," (the most interesting of which broke it down by syllables. Fe-Li-Na= Iron-Lithium-Sodium= Blood, Sweat, Tears) there is now no doubt that the title refers to the ultimately fatal love interest of Marty Robbins in his song "El Paso."
Because The Internet, Vimeo user Bonnie Rose has uploaded a video of "El Paso" that shows how the song's story arc corresponds with Walter White's infatuation with his own Blue Sky meth. (Gilligan has said that Walter's Felina was his meth.)
It's pretty spot-on and makes yet another case for Breaking Bad to be considered among the best-constructed television dramas of all time.
In closing, both BB and Marty Robbins were that ish.
