Fantastic Four Movie Reboot: Game of Thrones Star Kit Harrington, Saoirse Ronan Up For Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman?

Fantastic Four and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer left something to be desired in the eyes of many fans. So when news broke that Fox wanted to reboot the franchise, many moviegoers felt a surge of optimism. And now, the cast of the movie is starting to come into focus.

Recently, reports surfaced that Michael B. Jordan (Fruitvale Station, Friday Night Lights) was up for the role of Johnny Storm, better known as The Human Torch. But a shortlist has now emerged for the roles of Reed Richards, aka Mr. Fantastic, and Sue Storm, aka The Invisible Woman.

Deadline reports that Fox has narrowed the list for Reed Richards to Game of Thrones actor Kit Harington (who plays Jon Snow), Divergent actor Miles Teller and Jack O'Connell, who will play Lou Zamperini in Unbroken, directed by Angelina Jolie.

The list for Sue Storm, meanwhile, has come down to Kate Mara (House of Cards, 127 Hours, Shooter), Saoirse Ronan (The Host) and Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street).

Harington is the biggest name on the list for Mr. Fantastic, and with good reason. He has emerged as one of the fan favorites on Game of Thrones and has started to branch out to the big screen with the leading role in Pompeii.

Teller, on the other hand, put together a great performance in The Spectacular Now opposite Shailene Woodley, so he could find himself in the blue and black uniform when all is said and done.

Mara could make a fine choice for Sue Storm, though Ronan is one of the hottest up-and-coming young talents in Hollywood. Recent rumors have linked her to Star Wars: Episode VII, so she could be busy even if she does get the part.
