Donald Glover Explains Leaving 'Community' (Sort Of) In Strange Hotel Note

When Donald Glover announced he was leaving Community, the whole world just assumed the always busy multi-hyphenate did it to focus on his music career as Childish Gambino, or to work on his new FX series Atlanta. No one seemed to think that maybe the man behind Troy Barnes might just be a little burnt out from his candle-at-both-ends lifestyle. Or that he needed a bit of personal time.

According to a note written by Glover and posted to Instagram, Bino left Community to get his head on straight after losing several family members.

Glover is receiving and outpouring of support from his diehard fanbase. Messages telling Glover to keep his head up and reminding him of the love his fans feel for him are all over the image. (People on the internet acting civilized? Le gasp.)
