Beyonce may just be dropping the new music that her fans have been clamoring for for the entirety of her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour. According to the New York Daily News, King Bey will release a single and music video December 3.
"Many in the music industry have gotten intel that Beyoncé will put out a single in the fourth quarter, some time from late November to early December," our insider says. "It's an official single and it's timed perfectly to push out all the others. It will be out before the end of the year."
According to the story, Bey has a bit of a competitive streak. Apparently, B pulled a J Cole and timed the release so that she would face a showdown from pop music's elite. (Though Bey's single is far more likely to be successful than Cole's David v. Goliath maneuver).
Beyonce's single and video would drop the same day as Britney Spears' new album Britney Jean and would be competing on the charts with much-hyped releases like Katy Perry's Prism, Lady Gaga's ARTPOP and Miley Cyrus' Bangerz.
The video was reportedly directed by walking definition of sleaze famed photographer Terry Ricardson, who has released several provocative photo shoots this year and directed the buzzworthy and oft-imitated video for Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball."
What do you think of Bey throwing down the diva gauntlet?
