Psy is attempting to rekindle some of that "Gangnam Style" world-shattering magic with his latest project, a collaboration with (wait for it)....Steven Tyler.
"I just finished recording my next song with a legendary artist, Steven Tyler from Aerosmith," PSY told Italian Vogue. "When I was in middle school, I literally cried when they were singing 'Crazy' or 'Amazing' or whatever, they were my lifetime role models, and now I am collaborating with Steven Tyler, what the fuck, man? I love my life."
While the video will no doubt gain a ton of curiousity/hate-clicks, I think we're in for another "Gentleman" as opposed to the long-tail cultural phenomenon that was "Gangnam." Also, that last bit makes me want to have a beer with PSY (moreso than I would with your average Korean pop star).
PSY, who met with Queen's Brian May earlier in the year, also took time to praise his biggest influence, Freddie Mercury.
"His songwriting skills, I cannot even approach, but his showmanship, everything I know about the stage, I learned it from his videos."
