It seems like fans will have to wait a little bit longer for R. Kelly's Black Panties to drop. Originally due out Nov. 11, the "My Story" rapper's 12th studio album has been pushed back a month, according to Rolling Stone. The record is now due for a Dec. 10 release date.
According to Rolling Stone, the album is finished but last minute production work and mastering has pushed the record back to a December release.
Despite being less than two months away now, little is known about Black Panties. The first single for the record, "My Story," was released over the summer and another new track, "Cookie" made its way online earlier this month.
A tracklist has yet to be confirmed for the record, but confirmed song titles include "Poetic Sex," "F--- Y'all," and "Tear It Up." Rappers such as 2 Chainz, Future and Ludacris are all due to make guest appearances.
Despite the setback for Black Panties, fans of R. Kelly don't have to wait two months for new music featuring the legendary R&B crooner. Today (Oct. 17), Lady Gaga released a snippet of her Artpop track, "Do What U Want," which features R. Kelly, in a Beats by Dre/Best Buy commercial. The song will be available for download in the US on Monday, Oct. 21.
