Arcade Fire are set to make yet another TV performance ahead of the release of their fourth studio album, Reflektor. The eight-piece Canadian rock outfit will appear on The Colbert Report on Monday, Oct. 21, according to Rolling Stone.
Performing under the band name The Reflektors, as it are apt to do these days, Arcade Fire will storm The Colbert Report stage following an interview with comedian/host Stephen Colbert.
This will not be the first late night TV gig for Arcade Fire promoting Reflektor. The band performed "Reflektor" and "Afterlife" on the season premiere of Saturday Night Live on Sept. 28. Following that, Arcade Fire debuted a half-hour late night TV special "Here Comes the Night Time," which was directed by famed director Roman Coppola in Montreal.
During that program, the band premiered three new songs from Reflektor ("Here Comes The Night Time," "We Exist," "Normal People") amid celebrity special guests and trippy special effects. Michael Cera, Zach Galifinakas and Aziz Ansari were among special cameos.
This also won't be the first indie rock group to appear on The Colbert Report recently. In June, The Postal Service made its TV debut on the parody news show to promote the 10-year anniversary of its album Give Up.
As for Arcade Fire, the band is prepping the release of Reflektor, which is due in stores Oct. 29.
