Blink 182 rockers Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge, and Travis Baker plan on hitting the studio together in early 2014. Hopefully, a new full-length album will follow short afterwards.
Bassist Hoppus told Kerrang! back in August:
"We haven't thought about any new songs yet... It always happens when the three of us are together in a room. Because when [we're not touring], Tom lives in San Diego, Travis lives in Los Angeles, and I live in London, so we don't really talk all that much. But then when we get in a room together, it all falls into place and we start making jokes. That's when we start writing songs and reconnecting with everything."
Fans can (hopefully) expect the band's seventh studio record to hit airwaves sometime in "late spring/early summer" of 2014. But in the meantime...
It's the tenth anniversary of Blink 182's hit 2003 self-titled album, which features this awesome tracklist:
1. "Feeling This"
2. "Obvious"
3. "I Miss You"
4. "Violence"
5. "Stockholm Syndrome"
6. "Down"
7. "The Fallen Interlude" (feat. Jack Gonzalez)
8. "Go"
9. "Asthenia"
10. "Always"
11. "Easy Target"
12. "All of This" (feat. Robert Smith)
13. "Here's Your Letter"
14. "I'm Lost Without You"
And to celebrate, the boys will perform two shows at LA's Hollywood Palladium in November. The trio will perform the "Untitled" album in full.
According to Hoppus, "It's something special. It's the 10-year mark of this album. We just did a run ... but this is solely, purely for our fans. It's like a way of giving back and really celebrating an album that was alike a turning point for our career."
Barker and Hoppus made the announcement on Monday morning's "Kevin & Bean" radio show in Los Angeles. Hoppus also said, "The blink-182 album was a sea change in our band... The way we wrote songs, performed, and thought of ourselves evolved into something deeper than it had ever been before. The recording process was special. We used all original vintage equipment and recording techniques. Echo chambers were built into showers stalls. Flanging sounds by running the tape between two machines. It was intensely personal process for all of us. Ten years on, it still holds a special place."

According to Barker, the band rarely plays most of these songs live, so it'll be "really cool." It's all for the fans, and it's about time to celebrate this career-changing album.
Blink 182's "Blink 182" hits the Palladium on November 6 and 7. KROQ will host both gigs. Blink will also perform a more intimate matinee show at Red Bull Sound Space on the 7th. This concert will be live-streamed.
