'Walking Dead' Star Chandler Riggs and Ioan Gruffudd Join Thriller Movie 'Home Invasion'

A star from AMC's The Walking Dead has joined the cast of the thriller film Home Invasion.

The Hollywood Reporter exclusively reported that The Walking Dead's Chandler Riggs and Fantastic Four's Ioan Gruffudd have joined Home Invasion, a thriller currently in production by Voltage Pictures and Zinc Entertainment, a division of Silver Pictures. Sean Carter, who has directed numerous commercials, will helm the film written by Joseph Dembner.

The plot revolves around a family that becomes entrapped in their own home by intruders who design a sick game of life-and-death, and the mysterious rules of the game become clearer as the night progresses.

Riggs and Gruffudd round out the family in the film, which also contains Bella Thorne and Natalie Martinez. Riggs and Thorne will be siblings, Gruffudd will be the father and Martinez will be the stepmother.

Riggs currently plays Carl Grimes, the son of Andrew Lincoln's Rick Grimes, on The Walking Dead, which shattered cable ratings records with 16.1 million viewers in its Season 4 premiere. In fact, the episode is the highest-rated non-sports show in cable history with DVR viewings factored into the equation. Riggs also recently wrapped up work on the supernatural indie film Mercy, an adaptation of a Stephen King story.

Gruffudd played Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic in Fantastic Four and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. He has also had guest-starring roles on Glee and Castle.

Martinez is best known for her work in End of Watch and Under the Dome, while Thorne starred as CeCe Jones in Shake It Up and has had a guest-starring role in Big Love.
