Justin Bieber has finally officially announced the song title for the fourth Music Mondays single as well as the artwork. The follow up to "Hold Tight" is called... "Recovery."
UPDATE: Review: Justin Bieber 'Recovery' Shows Lyrical, Musical Growth [LISTEN]
Bieber first subtly announced the "Recovery" song title yesterday (Oct. 25) in a tweet preceding his latest Film Fridays clip, "#Advice." "I keep my promises...and yes there will be a song this Sunday at Midnight. #recovery. But first #FilmFridays :)," he wrote, hinting at his new song title.
Soon after, Bieber confirmed the track would be called "Recovery" and revealed the artwork for his upcoming single.
Once again following the motif of his earlier Music Mondays singles, "Recovery" features a white background, simple light gray text and a simple purple symbol in the center of the album artwork. This week, the purple design is a plus sign, echoing the Red Cross symbol. The neutral plus sign signifies healers and, of course, recovering after an injury of illness.
Of course, the lyrical theme of "Recovery" won't be obvious until the track drops tomorrow night (Oct. 27). However, Bieber has hinted that the song is about making mistakes and growing as a person on Twitter.
"mistakes are key..," he wrote. "learn from them. RECOVERY NEXTTTTTT!!!!!!"
Songwriter Poo Bear, whom Bieber retweeted regarding "Recovery", then echoed this theme. "Prepare for Journal#4 , Recovery!! Life wouldn't be a journey without obstacles, it's up to you to learn from your mistakes and grow!!HB!!" he wrote.
If living and learning is the theme of "Recovery," the song will differ from earlier Music Monday titles. "Heartbreaker," "All That Matters" and "Hold Tight" all feature lyrics about a break up and recovering from a broken heart.
"Recovery," the fourth installation of Bieber's Music Mondays, will drop Sunday, Oct. 27, at midnight.
