The Fox hit show Glee is currently in the midst of its fifth season and has split its time between New York City and McKinley High School in Lima, Ohio since the beginning of Season 4. But could the show soon move its focus entirely to New York City?
TVLine posted an exclusive report on Wednesday afternoon and stated that Glee could move solely to New York City as soon as this current season, according to unnamed sources. Fox is reportedly discussing the idea, among others, with Glee co-creators Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan. The site states that the three "have been forced to reexamine all aspects of the show in the wake of Cory Monteith's tragic death in July."
The show is not expected to move its entire operation to the East Coast if it chooses the plan to move entirely to New York, but more on-location shoots in The Big Apple would be likely. The producers would also have to choose which of the characters that are currently attending McKinley High or are connected to Lima in some way would make the move to New York to join Rachel, Kurt and Santana.
Murphy told TVLine earlier in October that life after Finn has been "f*cking hard," and that "it's hard every day. It's hard in the writers' room. It's hard on the set."
