Best Celebrity Instagrams of the Week: Heidi Klum, Miley Cyrus, One Direction and More Get in the Halloween Spirit with Elaborate Costumes [PHOTOS]

Welcome to Best Celebrity Instagrams of the week, wherein MStars News looks at the most fun, most revealing and most interesting social network photos from the lives of stars.

In the first installation of our new weekly feature, we'll peek into the sometimes spooky, sometimes sexy day of Halloween. Fabulous stars from Zooey Deschanel to Miley Cyrus to One Direction dressed up for holiday parties and showed off their fabulous costumes and celebrations on Instagram.

Despite valiant efforts from many celebs the "winner" of Halloween this year has to go to Heidi Klum. The supermodel and Project Runway host/judge absolutely dominated as an aged version of herself. Looking more like 90 than her own 40 years, Klum didn't just show off her made up wrinkles in their finished version but also documented the process of her costume.

Of course, she wasn’t the only one to make waves with her costume. The always controversial, sometimes nude Miley Cyrus showed off her apparel this Halloween. The “Wrecking Ball” singer rocked in a spot-in recreation of Lil’ Kim’s boobalicious VMA outfit.

Not every costume has to cause shock and awe. Some celebs went classical for their Halloween. Zooey Deschanel rocked as Batgirl, while her FOX Tuesday night companion Mindy Kaling stunned as an elaborate pirate, complete with a mustache!

While those two TV actresses went for classically adorable, The X Factor judge and "Let It Go" singer Demi Lovato went for scary as the undead.

Also, the always flawless Beyoncé fittingly dressed up as an angel. As she is apt to do, Bey also teased a pic of her daughter Blue Ivy, who rocked some striped leggings.

Group costumes were in this year with Britney Spears and Rihanna. The “Work B----“ singer and her Las Vegas crew looked adorable as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, while Rihanna went a little ratchet with her posse. They dressed up as “chola zombies.”

Some stars ended up going a little goofy and casual for Halloween. Though not her family's official costumes, Kanye West's fiancée Kim Kardashian showed off her clan's goofy side with tiny hats and silly glasses ahead of the Oct. 31 holiday.

Finally, to help promote their new single "Story of my Life," which will receive a revelatory music video on Sunday, One Direction carved a few Jack-O-Lanterns.
