The Lego Movie looks to be one of the most promising animated movies to come out in quite some time. We've all scene the LEGO video games in recent years, so moving on to the movie industry certainly feels like the next step in this interesting new project. With a star-studded cast, this new film looks incredibly promising and will surely attract a wide audience to theaters on February 7, 2014.
Parks and Recreation actor Chris Pratt stars as the voice of Emmet, a regular LEGO guy that is completely content with his happy life as a LEGO. One day he is suddenly sucked into a world of iconic figures and superheroes, thus starting our adventure into this story.
We see (and hear) Superman (Channing Tatum), Batman (Will Arnett), Wonder Woman (Cobie Smulders), Vitrivius (Morgan Freeman) and 1980s-something Space Guy (Charlie Day) all coming together to take on the mega villain President Business, voiced by Will Ferrell.
Other voice actors include Liam Neeson, Elizabeth Banks, Jonah Hill, Alison Brie and Nick Offerman, making this film even more inviting!
In this first trailer, we are introduced to Emmet and watch as he is transformed from a normal, no-name LEGO man into "the chosen one" for the adventure of his lifetime. We see some funny takes on the superheroes mentioned above as well as characters like Abraham Lincoln, crash test dummies and other regular LEGO people as the adventure takes over this LEGO world.
