Eminem has been battling accusations of pulling a full-scale Ashlee Simpson and lip-syncing his throwback, MMLP2-hyping performance on Saturday Night Live. However, according to TMZ, Shady's reps have denied anything of the sort.

A rep for the rapper tells us Em was not lip-syncing during his performance of "Berzerk" ... but does admit he was using a vocal track underneath his live vocals.

...

The rep adds, "He just likes this sound and if you listen to his albums they are done the same way."

The controversy came to the forefront when eagle-eyed Em fans noticed that the "Rap God" rapper's vocals remained consistently strong even when he pulled the microphone away from his face.

What do you think? Was Eminem pantomining his set? Or was it really just an underlying vocal track?
