Apparently, "Royals" songstress Lorde is a big fan of Mily Cyrus. Back in August, the New Zealand crooner tweeted:

@lordemusic: "new miley is SO on point with verse and pre-chorus melodies."

Then in September, the 20-year-old Bangerz songstress supported Lorde when fans got a little hostile after she began dominating the Billboard charts:

@MileyCyrus: "@lordemusic why r people so mean??? Ps your music is awesome."

But there's one thing Lorde is NOT a big supporter of... using "shock tactics" to promote pop music and culture.

In a recent interview with UK's Q magazine, Lorde basically blasted Cyrus' raunchy VMAs performance alongside "Blurred Lines" singer Robin Thicke:

"I'm a feminist, so certain things about music I find frustrating. I think pop is scarily powerful."

Harmless enough. But then Lorde continued, "There are a lot of shock tactics these days... People trying to outdo each other, which will probably culminate in two people f*cking on stage at the Grammys. I try to keep my blinkers on and focus on making music."

It's great that Lorde sticks to her beliefs and that she only wants to shine through pure talent and music. But do Mstars readers think Miley Cyrus AND Robin Thicke fans will be offended by Lorde's rather harsh critique on the duo's "shocking" VMAs gig?

Several fans probably remember that 16-year-old Lorde also got into a little "banter" with 21-year-old "Come & Get It" beauty Selena Gomez a few weeks ago...
