Janelle Monae performs 'Electric Lady' on Arsenio

Two traditions were kept alive on late-night television last night: Janelle Monae continued to put on killer perfomances supporting The Electric Lady and Arsenio's musical guest slot continued to be the best part of the show (this isn't an insult, his performers have just been on fire since the reboot).

Check out Monae tearing up the Arsenio stage (though not quite as decisively as she did on Letterman) with a rousing take on almost-title track "Electric Lady":
