Jennifer Lawrence played Raven aka Mystique in X-Men: First Class in 2011 and reprises that role in the 2014 superhero blockbuster X-Men: Days of Future Past. The sequel takes place, in part, about 10 years after the events of First Class, and the characters will have changed considerably in many cases.

Mystique, for one, has joined up with Erik/Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and is taking a more active role in executing her "mutant and proud" motto. In a video interview with IGN for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Lawrence talks about where fans will find her character in Days of Future Past.

"We find Raven, she's split off from Erik and Charles and she's kind of her own agent and she has one mission of trying to assassinate somebody and it will be her first kill, basically," Lawrence said. "And Charles doesn't...because we've seen her in the future and what she becomes, and this is kind of a turning point for her."

So it looks like Lawrence and Mystique will have much more to do action-wise in this movie than in First Class, in which she struggled with her outward appearance.

The movie boasts a rich cast, including Lawrence, Fassbender, James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Halle Berry, Lucas Till, Daniel Cudmore, Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy, Boo Boo Stewart, Fan Bingbing, Evan Peters, Adan Canto, Josh Helman and (possibly) James Marsden.

X-Men: Days of Future Past is scheduled for release on May 23, 2014.
