Recent rumors suggest that Beyonce's ready to take a break from her marriage to Magna Carta Holy Grail rapper Jay-Z. So... what's up with that?

Apparently, the former Destiny's Child songstress was willing to attempt a trial separation in order to get her struggling relationship with HOV back on track. Jay was being too "selfish" in the marriage, and Queen Bey wanted some more intimate, one-on-one time as husband and wife.

HOV went on tour with Justin Timberlake over the summer, and Bey was hoping that he'd eventually join her and their 19-month-old daughter during some of the songstress' Mrs. Carter Show World Tour performances overseas. But he didn't.

"She told him he was selfish," an insider recently revealed to the popular gossip tabloid Star. "Beyonce has been letting her husband know he's on shaky ground, and she's using the time they spend apart as a trial separation."

Jay then traveled to Australia a few weeks ago to work things out, and the family stayed together in a private resort while Beyonce continued touring.

But according to an alleged Hollywood Life insider, baby Blue Ivy's parents are NOT breaking up. They just need to work on a few things.

"[Beyonce] would like for them to hang out and be together a little more as her tour is providing stress to a marriage that is not only important to them, but an entire fan base. They have normal relationship problems being parents. It just happens that these two are two of the hugest stars in the world, so just imagine that situation on top of a regular relationship."

The source close to the couple continues, "They are not thinking of a separation. They actually are trying to figure out how to hang out more. Their marriage is fine, they are working on getting together more for the holidays and nobody should expect a break up, separation or divorce."
