Persephanie Lesperance, a 24-year-old aspiring model who was named a Top 10 finalist in this year's Maxim "Hometown Hottie" contest, was arrested on multiple charges in New Hampshire on Wednesday (Nov. 13) on suspicion of drug distribution and possession. Apparently, the stunning brunette was part of a huge heroin ring bust in the Portsmouth region.
Details surrounding the bust remain sparce, but according to SeaCoastOnline Lesperance plus seven other individuals were arrested on related drug charges. Authorites are still searching for a ninth suspect (21-year-old Chelsea Glover) who is wanted on charges of sale of a controlled drug and violation of probation. The investigation is still ongoing.
During Maxim's "Hometown Hottie" competition, Lesperance said - "I have a wicked soft spot for charities, whether I'm help raising [sic] the money or donating it out of pocket, I love to help out in any way I can... I think I'd make the perfect Maxim small-town "hottie" because I'm a true small town girl just trying to make a difference."
Lesperance lost to Pennslyvania beauty Dessie Mitcheson.
Before the arrest, Lesperance told New Hampshire Magazine that she was still pursuing a career in modeling and that in her spare time she did charity work. She was currently collecting dresses, shoes, and accessories for young girls who were affected by Hurricane Sandy.
