When Terrence Howard signed on for 2008's blockbuster hit Iron Man as Col. James Rhodes, he was offered more money than the other actors, which later led to him not being offered a role in the sequels. When offered a pay cut for the sequel, Howard refused and Don Cheadle replaced him. This is normal Hollywood politics, but now a new interview with the actor reveals that he blames star Robert Downey Jr. for his being cut from the Marvel franchise.

"Well, it turns out...and this is gonna get me in a lot of trouble" Howard said in this new interview. "It turns out that the person that I helped become Iron Man, when it was time to re-up for the second one took the money that was supposed to go to me and pushed me out."

Howard has previously stated that Iron Man "ruined" his career, so clearly the topic is a sore subject.

"We did a three picture deal," he continued. "You did the deal ahead of time. A certain amount for the first one. For the second a certain amount. For the third...they came to me for the second one and said, 'We will pay you 1/8th of what we contractually had for you, because we think the second one will be successful with or without you.' And I called my friend who I helped get the first job and he didn't call me back for three months."

Clearly angry with Downey still, when asked about their current relationship, Howard deadpanned: "Oh, I love him. God's gonna bless him."
