Well, this is just insane.
Jean-Claude Van Damme is known for his roles in movies like Blood Sport, Maximum Risk and Expendables 2. But now the 53-year-old has completed a remarkable feat in the new ad for Volvo trucks. It seems like a kind of random pairing, but by adding some splits into the mix, boy did they pull it off.
"I've had my ups and downs, my fair share of bumpy roads & heavy winds," Van Damme declares at the beginning of the ad. "That's what made me what I am today. Now I stand here before you. What you see is a body crafted to perfection, a pair of legs engineered to defy the laws of physics and a mindset to master the most epic of splits."
The "most epic of splits" was indeed that. He had his feet placed on the side mirrors of two giant semi-trucks as they slowly moved apart, allowing the split to gracefully take place. Makes no sense at all. This man's leg muscles are ridiculously strong for him to hold that position. Not to mention the trust he had to have had in the drivers. They were probably freaking out.
It's crazy that any person could or would even attempt this, and it gets even more intense when "Only Time" by Enya is playing in the background.
Watch the video of the ad below. If you're not impressed by this display or even moved by hearing Enya again for the first time in years, you might need a slap in the face.
