The midseason finale of Season 5 of Breaking Bad ended with Hank (Dean Norris) finally discovering that Walt was Heisenberg, the meth kingpin that had plagued him for so long. When the second half of Season 5 began on Aug. 11, many fans assumed that Hank would slow play Walt and put a case together before the two had a confrontation at some point during the final eight episodes.

As it turns out, the show decided to start the season with a bang and the famous confrontation took place at the end of the second half's premiere. That scene contained Walt's chilling "tread lightly" advice to his brother-in-law. And now, fans can see how that scene came together thanks to an exclusive clip from EW.com.

The Blu-ray collection Breaking Bad: The Complete Series, which comes out on Nov. 26, features a more than two-hour documentary about the making of the final eight episodes, and the camera crew caught the filming of the "tread lightly" scene. Check it out at this link.

Apparently, the scene caught Cranston and Norris by surprise, too.

"My assumption was that they were going to play with that for awhile," Cranston told EW. "Then in the very first episode, we find out that each other knows and it's like 'Oh my God.' The tension is ratcheted up right from the get-go, and then he doesn't let go of it.'"

Norris also said that he and Cranston went through several different versions of the scene, including a more violent and anger-filled take, before they settled on the one that exudes betrayal and pain.
