Selena Gomez Stars Dance Tour Update: 'Come & Get It' Singer Says She Is Going Back To Movies After World Tour

Selena Gomez is currently on her Stars Dance Tour 2013, but it looks like the singer may be focusing more on acting when she wraps up the tour in February. Gomez told E! News that she would like to take some "time for myself" and go back to working on movies. Who knew taking time for yourself consisted of working on movie sets and starring on the big screen?

It's a curious move for the 21-year-old who clearly owes her popularity to her music career. According to her website, Gomez will be playing a show this week in Michigan then will take some time off from her tour over the holidays. Gomez will be back on the road when she travels to Tokyo in January. Gomez will wrap up her Stars Dance Tour on Feb. 8 in Australia. This is the first time Gomez has been out on tour all by herself and she told E! News that it's been a great experience.

"It's my first world tour, so actually being able to experience these places while I'm there alone, all by myself, it's great," Gomez said. "I feel like a big girl." Gomez went on to say, "I'm going take some time for myself and get back into movies."

However, don't expect to see Gomez starring in edgier movies like her recent "Spring Breakers" movie. Since the arrival of her five-month old sister Gracie, Gomez has realized the importance of being a role model.

"Gracie is five months old, she's adorable. I'm obsessed with her and becoming a big sister," Gomez told E! News. "I know I've had the responsibility to be a role model for girls but, when you have a little sister of your own, you kind of think, 'OK, this is legit.'"

Although Gomez hasn't had the most successful movie career yet, she is still young and has time for that "breakout" role. It remains to be seen whether movies or music will be Gomez's main focus going forward.
