Although she may not always dress like it, Lady Gaga actually has some good fashion sense. I mean, she was just named the new face of Versace.
The pop queen recently sat down with Ellen DeGeneres to talk fashion and how she was inspired to purchase some legendary pieces from Michael Jackson's wardrobe.
Gaga says that she purchased the items at an auction. Among the ideas were pieces that Jackson wore for "Thriller" and "Billie Jean," including a glove. Gaga also said that she was drawn to the pieces because of the connection she has with her own clothes that she wears on tour.
"I imagine that he felt the same way, because I believe that the fans' energy gets stuck in my clothes," she says. "They're just going [shrieks] and I just imagine that when I open my little pocket it goes [shrieks]."
Imagine being able to channel the energy from Michael Jackson's fans through his clothes.
And just in case you were wondering about the condition of the pieces, Gaga was sure to put out this disclaimer:
"For any Michael Jackson fan that is watching, s--t is pristine."
Maybe Gaga will channel her inner Michael Jackson with one of the pieces in an upcoming video or performance. With the performances she's been giving, that'd be quite an interesting show.
